My first Christmas was in 2006. I was 8 months old. My mom says I was 8 months going on 8 years because I had been through so much in my kittenhood and I seemed to be a much older soul. That didn't stop me from being a total kitten though. My first Christmas was bittersweet. I was thrilled with all the decorations and the tree and the presents, but the truth was that I lost what was most precious to me on December 26th, 2006. My best friend and mentor, Jonathan. He was elderly and frail. He hung on through Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, but he passed away the morning of the 26th. I love you and miss you every single day.

Cory, such a sweet post...and such good memories you have of Jonathan...we can see he was a special cat....
We are happy that your friend was with your through the holidays but furry sads that he went to heaven just after Santy Claws arrived. Both of you had what all animals want - a home fur the holidays. That is furry and furry specials.
Jonathan hung on for you! He was a gorgeous kittie who will be watching you this year with all of your presents, from The Bridge. He's probably with our sisfur, Scooter(RIP).
How sweet you are Cory. Breeze has taken over some of Tabatha's(she was escorted over the bridge almost 2 years ago) personality traits. Seems very odd, maybe she knows that I miss her very much. Enjoy your tree Cory.
What a wonderful tribute to your friend, Jonathan. He must have been very special to you, Cory. Christmastime is sometimes sad when we miss our friends, but all those wonderful memories can make it very, very happy.

Jonathan seemed like he was such a sweet cat! It's so important to remember our friends and siblings who have gone to the bridge this time of year - it keeps the memory of them alive!
Remember all the good things - they will keep you happy in sad times.
